New Is Good

Our town has been a musical vacation destination spot for more years than you might remember and although we love the traditions, the performers who show up night after night performing as if it is their first night, we also appreciate the new. We love seeing the advertising show up months before the shows begin, we love reading what all the critics say, and when opening night occurs, we love being in the lines that can be seen out front. Below we have listed a couple of new shows that are sure to bring you the same excitement we feel when something new comes to town!

David, Sight & Sound Theater, 1001 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway in Branson

The Sight & Sound Theater is not new at all, standing in its current location for over 17 years, while its original location in Pennsylvania opened its door over 50 years ago. Bringing bible-based stories to the stage for all to enjoy, including the very first show offered in Branson, the story of Noah, in 2025 a new story is about to be told, that of David, another biblical hero that we will all look at in new ways after seeing the show. Ticket prices run $79 per person, making it a reasonable expense for first time vacationers and ensuring that you will have plenty of room left in your vacation budget for other shows you might want to see.

Thunder Ridge Concert Arena, 1901 State Highway 86 in Ridgedale

The Thunder Ridge Concert Arena is also not new, but of course we are discussing some of the new acts that will be coming to town this year. Offering an everchanging lineup of new performances, this year’s headliners excite us even more than all the ones we thought were so wonderful in 2024. The first new set of performers are due to hit the stage on April 26th, with the promise of spring also being a promise that the music will make you dance when Riley Green and Craig Morgan perform a bull riding musical performance entitled Bulls, Bands, and Barrels that we are pretty sure not too many people have ever seen before. (It’s pretty unusual to combine bull riding and music, but we are excited to see the results) A few weeks later, on June 7th to be exact, the new performers, Styx & Keven Cronin, + Don Felder, will have you singing along to all the songs you know and love with their Brotherhood of Rock show. And finally, just a week after that, Post Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour will make you glad music has been invented, especially when he invites old friend Jelly Roll to the stage!

Pets and Giggles, Grand Country Music Hall, 1945 W 76 Country Boulevard

The family friendly Pets and Giggles show is one of our favorite new shows, combining sweet pooches, amazing tricks, and G-rated humor that you won’t have to worry about the kids repeating; it is also an interactive show. Prepare to laugh, to be amazed at the skills of the pets in the show, and to perhaps have a chance to have a part in the performance, creating memories that you will treasure forever. We don’t know much about this new show, other than we know we are going to love the puppies and are going to laugh like we haven’t in a while, but we have heard good things, enough so that we have no problems recommending it to guests of Mighty Tree Properties.

Classic Shines Bright

As much as we appreciate what new performers, new theaters, or new restaurants bring to our lives, there is just something warm and comfortable about the classic adventures we’ve dreamed of all our lives. Who goes to Paris and doesn’t visit the Eiffel Tower, and who goes to Orlando and doesn’t visit a theme park? No one, that’s who, and the attractions and places we have listed below are the classic Branson adventures you have been dreaming about for some time now.

Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers Show, The Hughes Brothers Theater, 3425 W 76 Country Boulevard

If you’re going to experience the classic, you must enjoy Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers Show, not just the longest running show in town, but also its first show. For over 65 years this exciting variety show has led the way for others to try and keep up, offering a combination of country, rock, patriotism, and gospel music, intertwined with hilarious comedy skits. Can you really say you have been to Branson if you haven’t experienced it famous Baldknobbers Show? We think not and urge you to book your seats today. It’s a popular show and seats often sell out.

Dolly Parton’s Stampede, 1525 W 76 Country Boulevard

Dolly Parton does not perform in this visually stunning show, but if you love her music, horses, and good food, this is another show you should not miss! It’s her music that plays throughout, and we find it impossible not to sing along, but if you’re still not sure, maybe the 32 horses that make it on stage or the four-course country meal that is served concurrently will convince you that this needs to be on your bucket list. Arrive a few hours early and you will have the opportunity to stroll along the horse walk, getting a closer look at the magnificent steeds that are (in our opinion) the stars of the show. Ticket prices start at $59 per person.

Anthems of Rock, King’s Castle Theater, 2701 W 76 Country Boulevard

The television show 60 Minutes first gave Branson its nickname “The Live Entertainment Capital of the World” back in 1991, and we have worked our hardest to live up to that name ever since. Not all the shows will be musicals, but Anthems of Rock, which we thinks fits perfectly into our classic show category, celebrates the music that everyone knows all the words to. Known as the “Biggest Rock Party in Branson,” (apparently we are big on nicknames here) this show examines the biggest hits of the 20th century, performing songs from Queen, the Beatles, Bon Jovi, Journey, Aerosmith, and so many more. Prepare to end your evening feeling hoarse as you sing out loud with the performers on the stage and prepare to be perfectly alright with making a spectacle out of yourself!

New Attractions

Although we are known for the music, it isn’t all that we offer in our beautiful Missouri town, and one of the most fascinating new attractions for 2025 doesn’t involve music at all. A Flood of Reality is a virtual reality experience based on one offered at the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, offering a VR show that takes attendees back in time to the days of Noah’s Ark. This experience and the new theater it will be airing in haven’t opened as of yet but is expected to be a part of the entertainment scene by year’s end.

New Events

The best way to get to know the area you are vacationing in is by attending local events and this newest event, taking place inside the gates of Silver Dollar City, our 19th century themed amusement park, promises to be one that will entertain and engage all your senses. Offering hoedowns and new entertainers, the Kinfolk Bluegrass Band and providing opportunities to learn from master gardeners, while offering a new Fest house, and a Spring Tasting Passport that will make your taste buds cheer. Costing just $36 the passport is valid for five tasting-sized items from their spring inspired menu and we can assure you, everything you see really does taste as good as it looks!

New Restaurants

It’s hard to imagine that something was ever missing from the culinary landscape of Branson, but after sampling the delights offered at Full Throttle Distillery Grill & Smokehouse, located at 116 E Main Street, we now know what was missing and we are thrilled to say it is missing no more! Offering tasting experiences of moonshine, aged whiskey, vodka, bourbon, and sipping creams, a fantastic barbecue restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day while also offering a full coffee bar, and because this is Branson, live music as well. We are currently working our way through the menu and don’t want to choose favorites as of yet, but we must tell you that the Throttle Grits, cheddar grits topped with bacon, one egg, avocado, and smoke-roasted tomatoes is literally to die for!

New Ways to Be Comfortable

Our Mighty Tree Properties Branson retreats never fail to please, and whether you have chosen one of our classic cabins to rest and recharge in or our new additions to our vacation home line-up, there will be no regrets! Step inside spaces filled with light and warmth, and even as they offer all the elements of a classic log cabin, the luxuries and amenities will be 100% modern. Wood floors lead the way through rooms offering all the comforts of home and as you step into each space, you will already be thinking about all the ways you will live in the room. Our living rooms may feature vaulted ceilings and walls of windows, stone fireplaces, modern televisions, and sofas covered in fabric so soft, napping may be instantaneous and unavoidable. You will be exploring a lot of different restaurants during your time in Branson, but our fully equipped kitchens may entice you to stay home at least one night, making a meal and devouring it in dining rooms or in four season porches offering stunning views.

Branson Is for Relaxing

As you rush from theater to theater, shop to shop, attraction to attraction, you may forget that your vacation in Branson is also supposed to be relaxing and quiet, but when you step out on the back decks of our mountain homes, it will suddenly be perfectly clear that it is time to slow down the pace. A line of rocking chairs may be found resting on those decks and as you sit, sip on the moonshine you bought from Full Throttle, and slowly rock while the sun sets the sky on fire, you may ask yourself why you would ever want to leave this spot right here. Oh, and don’t be surprised if whittling and playing the harmonica suddenly seems like a good idea!

The Amenities of Mighty Tree Properties

Once upon a time travelers were forced to utilize sterile and cramped hotel rooms for their vacation accommodations, sharing beds, bathrooms and a single television. Amenities stopped at free Continental breakfasts and questionably hygienic swimming pools, and we were told that we only needed the spaces as a place to rest our heads between adventures. Today’s travelers would balk at the thought, expecting more and getting more in our Branson retreats, including fireplaces in bedrooms, high-end appliances, arcade games, and all the comforts of home, blended with the modern conveniences that make travel that much more enjoyable! Some escapes may offer hot tubs tucked away in a corner of the deck, others may offer access to community pools, playgrounds, and sports courts. And all will offer an experience that no one wants to end. Reserve your favorite Branson sanctuary from Mighty Tree Properties today!
