This is the perfect place to bring your boat, park in the private covered boat-slip, and jump off the dock. If you prefer, grab a paddleboard or kayak from the lake shed and go for a cruise on the French Broad River-fed lake. Then spend your evening soaking in the hot tub or relaxing around the fire pit, roast marshmallows and star gazing over the unobstructed night sky.
Living Room: An open and welcoming space, the living room at this cabin on the water boasts high ceilings with plenty of natural light. With an A-frame window setting that can allow you to watch the sunrise or sunset. Hardwood floors flow throughout, and the spacious area rug adds comfort to the room. Plop on the sofa for a rest after your travels or afternoon play in the lake.
Downstairs, you ll find a second, quaint living room that boasts another big screen TV with a DVD and Blu-ray player. Here you can also enjoy more views of the lake plus access to the lower level deck with a hot tub!

Home is on the main channel of the lake with year-round water access, however the TVA controls the lake level so there are times when the water level does not float to dock.
You may not book if you live locally without asking for permission and letting us know why you need a place in town.
Please respect those who live in the neighborhood. They are residents and not guests, so it s very important that we respect their homes and be considerate of any loud music or noise.
Guests will be expected to clean up spills and messes that they make and throw all their trash in the trash can. Also, it will be the guest s responsibility to do the dishes before they leave.

It s an easy short drive to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg, simply head down scenic Hwy 92 and drive into town the back way, away from the traffic on the Parkway. You can stop by the Forbidden Caverns on the way and do some spelunking if that s your thing! You ll want to drive through Gatlinburg s Arts and Crafts community on your way to downtown Gatlinburg, a lovely area with local artisans and boutique eateries. It s time for you to head for the Smoky Mountains and The Waterfront Vista at White Oak Cove, the pieces are all in place for a memorable mountain vacation!

To launch, the boat ramp is only about 10 minutes away. You can even take your boat to lakeside restaurants! When the lake is at its highest, you can find a 65-foot-deep cove nearby and more coves around the lake worth exploring.

The floating dock sits in a cove where water levels vary. Terrain down to the dock is natural and mountainous. Easy 2nd lake access (for neighborhood) is available just right of home / recommend bringing water shoes (for children and adults) swimming and walking on natural terrain. According to TVA: a year with average rainfall, the water level in Douglas Reservoir varies about 44 feet from summer to winter to provide seasonal flood storage. For your convenience we supply you with a limited starter kit of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent. There are several shops you can visit nearby to purchase supplies for the duration of your stay.
Please note that hot tubs take around 6 hours to heat up. So depending on what time the property was cleaned, your hot tub or pool may not be hot upon arrival.
Guests are responsible for providing their own firewood
Home is on the main channel of the lake with year-round water access, however the TVA controls the lake level so there are times when the water level does not float to dock.
You may not book if you live locally without asking for permission and letting us know why you need a place in town.
Please respect those who live in the neighborhood. They are residents and not guests, so it s very important that we respect their homes and be considerate of any loud music or noise.
Guests will be expected to clean up spills and messes that they make and throw all their trash in the trash can. Also, it will be the guest s responsibility to do the dishes before they leave.
To protect the host and guest, we must verify all guests ahead of the stay. Please be aware: As a part of the verification process, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, and pass through our guest portal.
